Marjeta Šifrer

Students will focus upon alliances made in Europe and beyond between 1815 and 1945 in this activity. It starts with the Holy Alliance and finishes with the setting up of the United Nations. By learning about these alliances students can gain an understanding about how states have tried to achieve stability in Europe, while still looking after their own interests. They also learn which countries have been the most powerful in the past two centuries and how states can rise and fall in terms of their relative power.
